I’ve been quiet for a while, drifting with the Moon, but also working behind the scenes like a good 12th Houser.
Sometimes when big change is afoot, as it is in our skies and our world (and maybe in your life too),
sometimes when you are in the midst of big change,
you can feel a little empty or adrift, even when it is good change.
Big energetic shifts take time to embody.
Astrology helps you to make sense of the big energetic shifts we are all experiencing, and astrology also gives you the timeline for integration. Astrological transits are not isolated events, but rather moments in ongoing cycles of change.
Using astrology as a personal growth tool encourages you to feel into a new way of experiencing change: cyclical, rather than linear.
A cyclical view of change is generous, spacious, and forgiving. A cyclical view allows us to grow and change organically, in our own sacred timing, mirrored by nature and natural cycles.
So as you live into the big shifts of this season, remember, nature and time are spacious and forgiving. You can breathe into change little by little, you can allow for gentle integration.
Some energy shifts you may be experiencing through this fairly momentous astrological season include:
Jupiter’s shift into Cancer. Jupiter’s change is a yearly event, and is a tangible mood shift. Jupiter holds your hope, faith, and wisdom, your capacity to expand and explore your world with optimism, and your ability to receive resources and experience abundance of all kinds from the world around you. Over the last year, Jupiter has been in Gemini, providing us with lots of ideas, but not necessarily with the resources to implement or manifest those ideas. As Jupiter moves into Cancer, you may start to feel more expansive and capable, and resources you’ve been waiting for may suddenly become available to you. But along with this, you may be feeling more attuned emotionally, in a way the asks you to slow down and make space for your own feelings and sentiments.
How to take your time with the new Jupiter Cycle: Feel your feelings. It really can be that simple. You may realize that you’ve been ‘in your head’ a lot over the last year, and you may discover a bit of a backlog of feelings that ask to be felt now. No ‘processing’ necessary right now, just make space to feel. Time in nature, by water, can really help facilitate this.
Mars’ shift into Virgo. Mars changes signs every month or so, so this in itself is not big news. But this Mars has been in the same two signs (Cancer and Leo) since October of last year, taking us on a wild ride of a Mars retrograde. As this irritated and embattled Mars moves into the cool earth sign of Virgo, you can perhaps finally experience some relief and closure around the irritations, inflammations, or downright battles of the last six months. Whether you are recovering from a fire, a break-up, a surgery, an attack, an inflammation, or a conflict, enjoy these weeks of relative peace, and take the time to sort through the last of the paperwork or other detritus of the winter.
How to take your time with Mars Retrograde recovery: Use this time to clarify details and clear your physical space of reminders of the winter’s hardships. Concentrate, for now, on practical physical actions, and don’t rush to emotional processing before you are ready. There is time.
I’ll share more of these in the coming days, but for now, if you focus on specious integration of these two big shifts, Mars and Jupiter, then you’ll soon be feeling more grounded and easeful.
With love,
Bronwyn
