Welcome, thank you and hello!
I'm really glad you are here. Here's what's happening this Spring.
Dear Reader,
I’m so thankful for your presence here on The Esoteric Zodiac! Thank you for supporting my astrological work with your interest, your engagement, and your subscription. Chances are, you have joined me just in the last lunar cycle, so I thought a welcome and an introduction were in order. I also want to let you know what I have planned for the rest of March.
What’s Happening in March
For all subscribers, I’m planning at least four more articles in March. Obviously we need to talk about eclipses! I’m going to write about the current eclipse season, energetic and spiritwork protocols for making the most of (or at least surviving) the intensity of eclipse time, and also about some simple tools for understanding and forecasting with eclipses. I’ll be releasing a mini-almanac for the remainder of Pisces Season, and a big Spring Equinox edition of the Almanac (including a beautiful printable for paid subscribers.) Coming later this week will be an article on forecasting with personal planet retrogrades (including a mini-workshop for paid subscribers). Along with the New and Full Moon forecasts, that should take us through to April. If you have any topics you’d love for me to write or teach about, please drop them in the comments, I’d like to know. My goal is to create at least one free workshop each month for paid subscribers, with an accompanying article free to all. What do you want to learn?
My April books are open, and I have a few spots for readings left in March. I’d like to celebrate you as a new subscriber with a 20% discount on any readings booked for March/April. Here’s a comment I got today from a student I did a short reading for:
“while listening, I was trembling because the energy of your interpretation was so potent and so uplifting.”
In Case You Missed It
There are two beautiful celebrations of Venus in my recent archives. My essay on Elemental Venus takes you on a poetic journey with Venus through the Zodiac, and is my most-read-and-talked-about publication so far. It’s right here for all subscribers. I also taught a juicy Venus Rose workshop for paid subscribers with my friend
, you can watch that here.In Case We Haven’t Met
This is me and the Salish Sea. Here’s the bio I’m using lately:
Bronwyn Simons is a predictive astrologer and astrology mentor with a worldwide client base and a busy consulting practice. She is beloved by clients and students for her warm, wise, compassionate, and positive style of sharing. She's an earthy Taurus with a highly intuitive Cancer Moon, and a Scorpio chart signature. Her astrological approach is rooted in the elegant functionality of traditional astrology, informed by her background in art history, literature, depth psychology, and classics, and guided by modern astrological principles of client care and astrology as a tool for personal growth. Her style is practical and embodied, with deep roots in the mystery of the Otherworld. After 30+ years of study and practice, she is truly a master of the esoteric arts.
Those are the basics. My most influential teachers are my mentor Anne Ortelee, Austin Coppock, and Chris Brennan. Recently, I have been challenged and excited by the work of Dr. Ali A. Olomi, and have greatly enjoyed studying in small cohorts with
. Astrology is a great excuse for life-long learning. When I’m not astrologizing I live a pretty wonderful small, cozy life in a little beach town on Vancouver Island. I live with my partner of 32 years, and our rescue pug. I enjoy excellent coffee, the farmer’s market, doing watercolour illustration, being in the forest, and buying too many books. I also love to dance, and travel, hike, go to pilates and yoga classes, and have adventures. Those fun things are waiting for me to make a full recovery from Long Covid. In the meantime, I am staying cozy, and I hope you are too.
Let me know if you have any questions, or teaching or writing requests! Or anything you’d like me to know about you, now that you know about me.
Much love from
Bronwyn at The Esoteric Zodiac
P.S. I’m teaching a wonderful class for intermediate astrologers in March/April. It’s called Sky Stories. It’s a six week intensive class in a small cohort, in which we’ll learn to work with transits fluently and intuitively. I’ll add lots of tools to your forecasting toolkit, from both modern and traditional astrology. We start this week. I have a knack for creating intimate, supportive learning circles, and would love to welcome you in to one!
