Personal Almanac YES! I just this week, when I bought my new calendar started writing those notes ahead and then you spoke about it! Zing! And when we talked about the Christmas Carol and watching it I made that note in my November to do that. I so love the magic of synchronicity 😊

Love this synchronicity and tending to the future self!

Thank you for this video. So much that resonates with me. When you spoke about the simplicity of two seasons- first frost last frost, wintering or summering; that sits so easy in my soul. Time seems better suited to that for me.

I love this simplicity too Marjorie! I first learned about this in the book Winters in the World, which is a journey through the Anglo Saxon year through the poetry of the time.

Also, the renaming of the months for myself gives me another opportunity to be even more observant of nature.

Such a great idea. And I really like the suggestion to watch all the versions of the Christmas Carol. Excited to read your thoughts on correlations between the ghosts & the planets! I love your imagination 💕

Thank you!! My favourite version is the one from the early aughts with Patrick Stewart. So so good.

This is such a rich conversation. So many light bulbs, and ah-ha's happening.

We are in a new house this year, and as I unpack each ornament/decoration, I must reinvent what goes up and fits here. We are no longer close to family (which we only have 5 years of most recently) so we are back to creating our own traditions with our son. There is freedom and sorrow in both. But "notes to self" is going to be a fun practice.

There is such a bittersweet quality to this holiday time. Especially as I age and come full circle with so many traditions. My daughter made the turkey this year. And so it goes.
